was created to
provide operating
support to the Theatre,
raise the capital needed
to restore the facility
and to create
an endowment.

-Capital donations are restricted to the restoration and renovation
projects at the Basie. These needs include upgrades to our box office,
renovations to backstage areas (dressing rooms, green rooms), and the
restoration of rehearsal spaces to be utilized by the Count Basie Performing
Arts Academy.
- Ticket sales account for only
50% of funds needed to operate the theatre.

Capital Support through Take Your Seat
You can literally be a part of the excitement and artistry of the Count Basie Theater through the Take Your Seat Campaign.
Choose
one of the Basie's 1,500 seats and give it your personal touch. Have a
message inscribed on a permanent brass plaque on a seat within the
Theatre to show your support of the arts and the Basie's renaissance.
Your inscription is your choice - it could be your name, your children's
names, a message to honor a special birthday or anniversary or a
unique way to remember a loved one.
Prices start at $500 per seat based on seat location.
